This was our first time having Turkish cuisine. For our lunch, my husband and I shared the falafel appetizer, the Istanbul Combination platter for one person, and baklava for dessert. We cannot tell you with mere English how outstanding it all was. (and just the right amount of food for two hungry people) Not only was the meal INCREDIBLE but our server was the most friendly, darling person we’ve EVER had be our waiter. He truly loves his family’s restaurant and has zest for life. He explained everything to us and was so *abundantly* kind. As a plus, as far as atmosphere goes, I got to sit in an antique armchair for my meal and it was very comfortable and fun. Our only regret is that our vacation was a week long and we happened to come here for our last meal and thus can’t return soon, but hot dang, what a PERFECT last meal in Fort Walton. 100/10. When we come back to the area Lord-willing, we will be returning.
Great atmosphere with amazing food! Service was top notch. Food was hot and fresh with little wait times. For dessert I recommend the sutlac, though baklava is still a great choice. We will be adding this amazing spot to our dinning rotation.
This Turkish restaurant truly captures the authentic flavors of Turkey! We ordered the combination plate for two, and it was absolutely incredible. The meat was packed with rich, delicious flavors—just like in Turkey. Our server was exceptionally polite and friendly, making the experience even better. We’ll definitely be returning soon!
What a wonderful place for a different food. Make sure to ask suggestion from Mekmid. For a first time to try his place it was a good experience.
Very good food and large servings! You get your money's worth. We had the rice pudding for a dessert and it was the best rice pudding I have had. The hummus and tzatiki were excellent as well. Will be coming back for sure!
Highly recommend if you're a fan of Mediterranean food! Fantastic service and delicious food! One of the best baklava I've ever had: creamy, sweet, and got a gentle nutty bite to it. Country music (unexpected, but sets the tone for a great dining experience) plays while you're treated with friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere! Their Turkish tea is like a warm hug to finish out your night!
Both service and food are outstanding... Cheerful faces... Friendly spirits... And a great attitude for helping people.. Kaan and all the girls are amazing servers. The only thing that was against our expectation is to hear American music. Where is the authentic Turkish music, guys!!
Pretty good Mediterranean food. Gyro meat was fresh and had great flavor, Turkish yogurt was fantastic and the Adana and cheese smother in sauce was super tasty and well prepared. The baklava was super tasty as well and their prices were reasonable and what you expect for the area. Def worth a try and worth exploring their menu.
